Tickets

Private support, without leaving Discord.

What it does

Help requests sent by DM get lost, and a public support channel exposes personal information. A ticket solves both: a private channel, visible only to the requester and the staff.

The module publishes a panel with a button. One click opens a dedicated, numbered channel, with the right permissions already in place.

On close, a full HTML transcript is sent to the channel of your choice, then the channel is deleted - you keep the record without cluttering the channel list.

What you can do

  • Customisable panel: title, description, colour, button label and style
  • Private channel created automatically, with computed permissions
  • Continuous, collision-free numbering, even on simultaneous clicks
  • Staff roles mentioned on open, optionally
  • Limit of open tickets per member
  • Full HTML transcript on close
  • Automatic closure if the channel is deleted by hand

How to set it up

5 steps · about 3 minutes

  1. 1

    Prepare a category

Create a Discord category that will host the ticket channels. The bot files each new ticket under it.

  2. 2

    Create a panel

Open “Tickets” then “Create a panel”. Choose the publishing channel and the destination category.

  3. 3

    Designate the staff

Select the roles that should see tickets. They can be mentioned automatically on every open.

  4. 4

    Configure the transcript

Point to an archive channel. On every close, the full conversation is dropped there as an HTML file.

  5. 5

    Publish the panel

The message and its button appear in the chosen channel. Your members can open their first ticket.

Frequently asked questions

Does the bot need special permissions?

Yes: “Manage Channels”, to create and delete ticket channels. The interface checks it and warns you if the permission is missing.

What happens to a ticket if I delete its channel by hand?

It is automatically marked as closed. Without that, its author would stay blocked by the open-ticket limit.
