What it does
Assigning roles by hand does not scale beyond a few dozen members. And a notification channel nobody chose ends up as a channel everyone mutes.
The Reaction roles module posts a message where everyone serves themselves: an emoji, a button, or a dropdown. The role is added or removed instantly.
Four behaviours are available, from a simple switch to an exclusive choice - useful for a name colour, where only one role should be active at a time.

Create a menu
Open “Reaction roles” then “Create a menu”. Give it a name - it stays internal, your members will not see it.

Pick the channel and the behaviour
Select where to publish, then the mode. “Toggle” suits most cases: one click adds, a second removes.

Compose the message
Title, description and colour. The preview on the right reproduces the exact Discord rendering.

Add your roles
Click “+ Emoji”, “+ Button” or “+ Dropdown” depending on the format you want, then map each entry to a role.

Publish
The “Save and publish” button sends the message. Any later change updates the existing message, without creating a duplicate.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between emoji, button and dropdown?
The emoji is a reaction under the message: discreet and familiar. The button is more visible and supports a label. The dropdown groups many roles without cluttering the channel.
What happens if I delete the published message?
The menu stays configured. Click “Republish” and a new message is sent, reactions included.
