Welcome & Goodbye
A first message that makes people want to stay.
What it does
Half the members who join a Discord server never write in it. Most often because nobody told them where to go, or what is expected of them.
The Welcome module posts a message the moment a member arrives - plain text or an illustrated embed - and can grant them their first roles automatically. It also announces departures, in a separate channel if you prefer.
Everything is configured visually, with a live preview: you see exactly what your members will see, before publishing anything.
What you can do
- Welcome message in plain text or a full embed
- A private message distinct from the public one
- Goodbye message, in the same channel or another
- Automatic role assignment on arrival
- Dynamic variables: nickname, mention, server name, member count
- Uploadable header, thumbnail and footer images
- Preview button: the message is sent for real, with your account as the guinea pig
How to set it up

-
1
Enable the module
From the dashboard, open “Welcome & Goodbye” and flip the switch at the top of the page.
-
2
Pick the channel
Select where the message will be posted. The bot immediately checks it is allowed to write there and warns you if not.
-
3
Write the message
Type your text and insert the variables: {user} mentions the member, {server} shows the server name, {count} the member count. Switch to “embed” for an illustrated look.

4
Add automatic roles
In the “Automatic roles” section, choose the roles to grant. Those the bot cannot assign are flagged with a warning.

Frequently asked questions
Why are my automatic roles not applied?
The bot's role must sit above the roles to grant in the server settings. The interface flags out-of-reach roles with a ⚠.
Can I send the message privately rather than in a channel?
Yes. Enable “Send as a direct message”. If the member has closed their DMs, the send is simply skipped, without error.
