Colours
A colour costs a role. This one only spends them on colours somebody wears.
What it does
Handing out colour roles is easy. Doing it without leaving forty dead roles behind is the whole problem, and Discord gives a server 250 in total.
You write the palette; the bot creates each role the first time somebody picks it, colours it, and places it high enough to actually show.
What you can do
- A palette you name and shade yourself, from the dashboard
- The role is created on first use — a palette of twenty worn by three costs three roles
- Placed just under the bot, so the colour is the one people see
- One colour at a time: taking a new one drops the old
- Colours you can reserve for boosters, veterans, or any role you choose
- Rename or reshade an entry and the Discord role follows
How to set it up
3 steps · about 3 minutes
-
1
Add two or three colours
Give each a name your members will type and a shade. Nothing is created on Discord yet — that happens when the first person asks.
-
2
Tell them to run /color
With no name it lists the palette, marking what they wear and what is locked. With a name it puts it on.
-
3
Reserve one for boosters
Set the required role on a colour and it shows as locked to everybody else, rather than disappearing.

Frequently asked questions
Why is my colour not showing?
Discord shows the colour of your highest coloured role. BILBI places colour roles just under itself, so anything above BILBI wins — a staff role, usually. Drag BILBI above it in Server Settings → Roles and the colour appears.
I removed a colour and people lost it. Is that normal?
Yes. Removing an entry deletes its Discord role, so everybody wearing it loses it at the same moment. That is what keeps your role list from filling with colours nobody offers any more.
Can members pick any colour they like?
No, and deliberately. A free hex code means one role per member, and Discord allows 250 per server — the module would create exactly the mess it exists to prevent.
