The five filters an open server wants first

Invites, links, mass mentions, spam and repeated messages — deleted, with a warning on the record.
What a public server gets first, in order: invitations to other servers, links, somebody mentioning thirty people, and the same message ten times over. These five rules delete the message and record a warning. None of them bans, none of them mutes: an automatic filter that sanctions will one day be wrong about somebody who did not deserve it, and you will find out afterwards. · invitations to other servers; · links (loosen this one if your server lives on them); · five or more mentions in one message; · five messages in five seconds; · the same message three times running. You will be asked one question: your staff role, which these rules let through. Everything arrives switched off. Read the thresholds before switching them on — they suit a server that talks, not a server that plays.
